The title says it all. After visiting Ireland twice, I knew I'd never be the same. Its breathtaking beauty captivated my heart. My desire is to share all I experienced and hope a few may understand my love affair with this small country. Many don't. My high desert home is about as opposite as you can get from the lush green meadows and craggy coastal shorelines. My heart longs to return to Ireland. Until then, sharing all I've seen and felt while there will have to do.

While we were in Sligo, we rented a lovely vacation house with a view of the Atlantic Ocean from the front and a view of pasture land from the back, complete with cows. Early one morning we were blessed with the birth of a brand new calf. Our neighbors, owners of the cows, were out early separating mammy & baby from the rest of the herd. I can't imagine a more peaceful setting.

To see a brand new calf? Cool! I don't suppose you were able to see the actual birth?
Nope ... but we were outside as the mama gave birth. It was exciting to see the farmer and his son so excited about something that happens routinely.
